I was quite surprised when I learned about this man:
Normally, people with Down syndrome have an IQ From ~ 50, but this man has a university degree!
How is this to explain? Are there people who have a high IQ despite Down syndrome?
There are different characteristics of the Down syndrome. For these exceptions, the mosaic trisomy is responsible, in which the gene defect is not already available at the first cell division, but only later in development begins. This means that only a part of the cells is damaged, the rest develops normal. Under these circumstances, a completely normal intelligence can form, although the physical down syndrome is full.
Each person is different even if some seem equal
